Q. If I pay through
PayPal, is my payment information still secure?
A.
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information
in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets
Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits.
Before you even register or log in to the PayPal site, their
server checks that you're using an approved browser - one
that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches
the PayPal site, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded
both physically and electronically. PayPal servers sit behind
an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the
internet. Your personal info is not accessable from any internet
connection.
Q:
What is SSL?
A: SSL
is the de facto standard for creating a secure, encrypted
link between a Web server and a browser. SSL thus ensures
safe passage of sensitive information, such as credit card
numbers, passwords, user names, etc. SSL is used by e-commerce
Web sites as a means to protect online transactions with their
customers. Once a secure connection has been established,
SSL encrypts information sent from your browser to the Web
server. SSL utilizes the public-and-private key encryption
system.
Q: Will
my email address be sold to any third party?
A: No, absolutely
not! We will never resell a mailing list, or give out any
other customer information. Our site is secured with up to
256 bit SSL encryption! We take your privacy very seriously.
